The Rising Blogger is devoted to finding and spotlighting the best of the blogosphere in order to help bloggers find, enjoy, appreciate, and validate the work of other bloggers.

The Rising Blogger Post of the Day Award is bestowed upon original content that is insightful, inspiring, newsworthy, educational, informative, touching, creative, interesting, humorous or . . .

Using the Nomination Form, you may nominate a specific blog post published on any date or site. Feel free to nominate a post from your own site! When you receive the Rising Blogger Award, we ask that you display the badge on your site within the winning post or in the sidebar, and link back to The Rising Blogger.

We also ask that winners “pay it forward” by nominating a post to be honored, thus keeping positive momentum going and supporting your fellow bloggers. You may send the nomination information to us using the nomination form or email the information to jhsesq at therisingblogger dot com. (Please do not announce your nomination on your own site in order to avoid spoiling the surprise as it may be a few days before our post bestowing the Post of the Day Award upon the blogger you nominated appears here.)

History of the Rising Blogger

The Rising Blogger went live in April 2007. The brainchild of Mimi Lenox and Bud Weiser, what set the site apart from other review blogs was its commitment to spotlighting posts, rather than blogs.

Judd Corizon soon joined the venture, serving as the blog administrator. Other contributors have included Lori Hahn, Dawn Drover, Epiphany Alone, Crushed By Ingsoc, Barbara, Mimzie, and Masgblog.

In August 2008, the founders gave the site to JHS, Esq., an attorney, musician, and writer from “Livable, Lovable Lodi,” California, the “Zinfandel Capital of the World.”
