The Rising Blogger was a creation of Mimi Lenox and Bud Weiser in April 2007. This blog was conceived for a couple of reasons. One reason was that Bobby Griffin’s Bestest Blog had shut down. While there were a lot of blog reviewers and awards out in the blogosphere, most barely seem to touch on giving the reader a real feel for the blog. The real key in The Rising Blogger’s development was the idea to award posts and not blogs. It worked and the response has been very overwhelming. I was brought in to administrate the blog and to give Bud and Mimi a sense of anonymity.
Mimi Lenox took a little time off to concentrate on her Peace Globe movement. It was at that point we solicited new writers and changed to crediting our authors. We were publishing seven days a week for a long time. The biggest new contributor was Lori Hahn. I could never thank her enough for helping to keep this blog going. We would like to thank our other writers, as well. Dawn Drover, Epiphany Alone and Crushed By Ingsoc all gave us some great reviews. Bud has wanted out of the position of head writer. Not because he still doesn’t love the blog and the work, but his own blog, WTIT Tape Radio: The Blog. is published almost every day. Bud, by the way completed his 200th post this week. As a blog, we have had almost 300 winners.
The most interesting aspect of this venture was that our traffic was just about the same when we went from daily publishing to about twice a week. You readers are very loyal and we all thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We would like to thank the writers who recently started writing: Barbara, Mimzie and Masgblog. We had hoped this would keep us going and let Bud depart. Unfortunately, it did not work out that way.
The good news is that The Rising Blogger will continue. It will be without me, however.
We received a terrific offer from a very well-known blogger who will take The Rising Blogger over in the next couple of days. I will not elaborate, just so she can introduce herself and her vision of what this blog will become. I am looking forward to the new Rising Blogger and am quite proud of the work we did here.
To turn the blog over, however, I will lose my current email address. But you can now reach me at jcorizan@gmail.com. And I will return to the blogosphere, but not in the awards/review arena. Bud and I have discussed a concept that we are very excited about. If you are on our email list, you will receive an update on that when it happens. If you don’t hear anything by September, please email me and I will give you the information.
It is our biggest hope that you will continue to read and support The Rising Blogger. We are thrilled that the work will continue.
So thank you, my friends and readers. Keep the faith, fly a Peace Globe, and live well. I hope to see you at my new blog in the future!

Judd,
Arriving only very recently, I did not have the time to know you better. So sorry to hear that you are going !!
Thank you for your encouragements with my very first reviews. I really did appreciate it very much.
I hope that you will still stop by and say Hi !
Now, I just have to see what will be next for TRB.
All the best to you
Bea-
How nice of you to say. You still hold the ALL TIME Rising Blogger record for comments!
Barbara-
I hope you get to continue your work. I honestly have no idea what is next except this: The woman who is taking over is very well respected. Whether she will use other writers, I can not say…Thanks for you help!
Lori-
Back at you. You did good work here.
Thanks for your efforts Judd!
To everyone who read and enjoyed our work at the Rising Blogger - I’d like to express my thanks for allowing us to showcase your wonderful blogs. There is remarkable talent in the blogosphere. You will find scores of diverse writing styles and personalities within these pages. Please don’t let the archives sit unnoticed as this blog is passed into the hands of a class act writer we feel completely comfortable with, trust, and greatly admire. She will treat it - and your posts - with respect and professionalism.
Creating a blog from scratch and working with such a great team of writers has been a pleasure and a joy. Judd’s administrative work has been commendable in assembling a crew to keep the reviews coming. I have formed friendships and learned a great deal about writing reviews, a passion I began while writing for Bestest Blog many blog moons ago.
I’d also like to thank those who took the time to comment here daily and visit the winners. It meant a great deal to them, and to those who wrote the reviews.
On a personal note:
I am proud of the blog that Bud and I created and the vision to award outstanding posts. It was satisfying to applaud excellent writing - a privilege to experience your lives through the amazing blogs we found all over the globe.
Thank you for providing such incredible material in the blogosphere and making our job easy. It will be exciting to watch a new phase of The Rising Blogger begin!
Peace,
Mimi Lenox
Well, I think this is quite interesting. For “The Rising Blogger” has been included in this weeks FIVE FOR FRIDAY on FishHawk Droppings, and the image that I featured is your animated avatar that has been residing on the sidebar. I hope this meets with your approval, and I wish all the best for this blog and your own future endeavors, my dear Judd.
