Tricia authors a blog and would love nothing more than to have a baby. We are not sure why Tricia and her husband are having this particular bout with indfertility, but we are new to her blog. The blog is named Shout.
Tricia and her husband were on their way on vacation when they heard that her sister was giving birth. Tricia told her husband to drive on toward vacation and that she would see her sister in two weeks and do the celebrating then. But then it happened. Tricia wrote, “I think the truth about my hesitation to stay in Vermont or return to Georgia as scheduled had more to do with my growing fear that I’d not be able to keep myself in-check during a long hospital wait. I was worried that I’d fall to pieces, have a pity party or that I’d actually strangle the grandmothers and sister-in-law if they spent the waiting time recounting their own birth stories. But I wanted to be stronger than that. I wanted to get over myself enough that I could participate in this rite of passage. I wanted my sister to know I was there, that I wasn’t a selfish twit mired so deeply in my own infertility pain that I couldn’t participate in this celebration of life. I wanted my sister to know how delicious the thought is that she didn’t experience the pain I did on my road to motherhood. I wanted my sister to know how much I love her.”
We know you will enjoy this post. It’s title is Turn the Car Around, We’re Having a Baby from June 4, 2008. Our congratulations go to the entire family and to Tricia. Best wishes for both for becoming an aunt and also for writing The Rising Blogger’s Post of the Day.

What a HUGE surprise and honor. Thank you so much!! And thank you to the person who nominated my post.
Shout has only been up for a few months, and I’ve quickly fallen head over heals with the blog community. It’s such a supportive and collaborative group, and The Rising Blogger is a great example of just that. I’m honored to participate.
If you have a chance, stop over and say hello. You’ll find a variety of personal insanities chronicled with a bit of this and a bit of that thrown in the mix.
You are very welcome. Cute niece!
What a beautiful and moving post from a wonderful woman. Thank you to whoever nominated her – this was so heartening to read.
