Ann Tracy’s Waiting for the Muse

by JHSEsq on June 8, 2008

We had never heard of Ann Tracy before she was nominated within the last couple of weeks. It is always easy for us to put off writing reviews on The Rising Blogger. Sometimes it is because of our love and dedication to our own whacked website. Writing original humor has nothing in common with humor sites that publish jokes. Don’t misunderstand us we love those sites. It just about the use of our time. It takes time. We are glad we took time away from our bit of the blogosphere to discover Ann.

Ann is a unique talent in the blogosphere. Let’s start with a bit of her bio, “Ann’s fine art has been exhibited from Japan to Maui to New York City. In 2003 her work, “Stop” was included in the catalog of the “Violence Against Women”, Group 78 Amnesty International, Tokyo, Japan. Ann spent 10 years as a radio and print journalist in Denver, Milwaukee, San Jose and Sacramento. She was the first female voice to grace the airwaves of KTLK, Denver in 1977.” Ann is a busy woman. We think it is because of her multifaceted resume that her blog is so well constructed. She uses her art in photography, paint and the digital world of drawing with equal prowess. Her blog is called Ann Tracy’s Waiting for the Muse. Bookmark it.

Ann doesn’t simply post her art or just share with her readers a story. She weaves both with the skill of a conductor. In her Post of the Day, Ann is on vacation with her husband and dog in tow. She describes the story of their time away with the history of what she sees. Throw in her terrific photos and you have a terrific blog reading experience. She writes, “The city of LA has been sucking the lake dry until 1994, when concerned citizens actions stopped the city of the angels from getting any more water and further damaging the fragile environment. I’ll have photos of Mono Lake at my Flickr site so please click on that link for more photos.” The post we awarded is titled Joshua National Park and My Left Arm. You’ll enjoy your trip with Ann. Well done, Ms. Tracy!

WOW… I’m blown away! Thanks for the kudos. We’re taking the dog on a trip to Colorado next week, so look for more wacky travel stories and photos. Let’s just hope I’m not the Queen of Ice and Bushmills this time ;~D

Irshad is a woman who isn’t afraid to speak the truth. If only we had people like her in government. Another one I like for the sheer variety of writing is
