Slingshot Thought

Today The Ris­ing Blog­ger fea­tures a rather light post that has your basic ingre­di­ents for suc­cess: It is well writ­ten, it is a good story and it has a point. You may not real­ize how many posts that are sub­mit­ted to us that you can­not say that about. And unlike some of other award type blogs, get­ting nom­i­nated doesn’t mean you win. We found a site once (before we were writ­ing for this blog) that all you had to do was nom­i­nate some­one and the next day they won. So for about eight days we nom­i­nated every­one we knew, got bored and never returned. Back to today’s win­ning post, Geol­ogy Joe is our author. The blog is Sling­shot Thought.

While the post ref­er­ences a TV show that we are not famil­iar with, it made no dif­fer­ence. The post, And the Uni­verse Smiled and is about karma. Joe does a good deed and appears to be paid back. That is not enough for Joe. He winds up doing yet another good deed. And maybe a third that he doesn’t even state: He gave his time to a street musi­cian that he usu­ally just passed by.
