Da Momma is our heroine in the blog Motherhood is Not for Wimps. She decribes her situation, “In September, 2002 I became a mother. It must have been the drugs, because I forgot myself and three years later did it all again. Follow along as I illustrate time and again that motherhood is not for wimps.” Da Momma is an author who shares her stories openly and honestly.
In the post, Shouting the Obvious she begins a tale of the satisfaction one gets from being right, ‘“You must be fucking, fucking stupid!’ The angry little man shouting this at me from the cab of his white pickup truck was gripping my ATM card, the receipt and my cash. A lot of it. I had gone to the bank drive through ATM to transfer funds to avoid a bounce. As I was madly trying to sort out the finances a student was returning my call to find out why I had stood her up for our scheduled meeting regarding her research paper. I got distracted in the middle of the transaction and walked away. I was still talking to her when the man found me and started shouting.” What we really enjoyed in the post was her ability to be introspective. While this man became both her tormenter and savior, she realized how much satisfaction a person like this man got from the situation. What situation? He was 100% correct. Our heroine was not.
We think you’ll appreciate the style and wit Da Momma brings to her writing. The Rising Blogger is pleased to award her our Post of the Day!

Wow, she’s lucky the guy brought the money back to her. I can imagine such distraction, though. Often at school I get half a dozen students needing something from me a the same itme.
Da momma is such a great blog for anyone to read but especially other mothers. It definitly makes me feel that it is okay to be the mom that I am.
I’ve actually had a man…tough cowboy type do the same thing to me. Are you trying to help me or hurt me? Just pick one and go with it. Sheesh.
Steady on, sista.
Thank you so much for the honor and recognition. I may well be fucking, fucking stupid, but at least now I am also fucking, fucking famous. Well, okay, not so much, but it made my day.
Thanks so much!
Elizabeth
Da Momma Rocks and the world is full of all kinds of ‘helpful’ people. And when I run into one of them, it always occurs to me how much it would suck to be them.
