Doin’ Time in Erie, PA
by JHSEsq on January 26, 2008

This is the first blog review that we have done without a clue of who the author is, other than the title,
Doin’ Time in Erie, PA, so we know what state she is from. The layout of this blog is almost non-existent. If she were not nominated we might not have even bothered to read a post. But she was nominated, and the post is very good. It is about politics in this election year and is called
Inspiritu. The question she addresses is that she is often asked about which person running for president inspires her. She is not sure that we should be looking for inspiration.
She writes, “Some people like Mitt Romney’s managerial record but say he doesn’t inspire them like Mike Huckabee does. Conversely, people who are inspired by Mike Huckabee are concerned about his ability to lead. The same goes for Hilary Clinton and Barack Obama, inspired by one and not the other but concerned of capabilities. And John McCain, bad-ass inspiring story to be sure, but does that necessarily translate to the person?” It is an interesting and unique perspective. It is a good read. Congratulations, whatever your name is, you have written The Rising Blogger Post of the Day!

You wouldn’t believe how many people assume I’m a prison inmate! I guess being satirical has it’s price. Anyhoo-it’s me, no-name blogger doin’ what feels like a sentence in Erie, Pa. Not to belittle Erie, it’s just that my heart’s home is elsewhere. I’m a 30-something grad student and finance professional here by way of Maine, by way of Maryland, by way of Northern Michigan, by way of Detroit. I remain anonymous to protect the innocent because the most important thing you ever need to know about Erie is that six-degrees of separation is really more like 1.5.
I don’t read a lot of political blog posts because many are of the “one” issue type mentioned by this writer. This was a well balanced post though and I enjoyed it. Sounds like they have their head screwed on right.
