The RollerBlog

by JHSEsq

Katy Shaw is from the city of Seattle. This is not a huge surprise, since there are several bloggers from the state of Washington who are previous winners on The Rising Blogger. What is the exact surprise of the blog The RollerBlog? The blog is fixated on the 70’s and is written by a woman who was not even born until the middle of that decade, “I’m a child of the seventies. I was born in 1976, a decade known for its disco music, moustaches, and tight pants, but I was largely oblivious to these wonders. I grew up without a television for the most part, and now I have a pop culture-shaped void in my life that I am seeking to fill. This blog chronicles my journey into the decade of my birth, in which I will immerse myself in all things seventies. Movies, books, music, television, pop culture, and more await.”

All Katy’s post are witty and whimsical. If you put a tape of music together to exercise to, and the music is from one of the best bands of the seventies, what would you call it? Zeppercise, of course. Could that be a Stairway to Health? Okay, that was a stretch. We think you will enjoy this blog and author as well as we do. Zeppercise was posted on December 2, 2007. Congratulations, Katy, you’ve written our Post of the Day!
