Michigan resident Green Tuna at Tuna News looks at life a little more clearly than most people I know. She is quick to observe and make note of conversational silliness (like those she holds with her faithful-sidekick, Teen Tuna), which makes for some great blog material. She’s also human and struggles with the schedules, disorganization, and inherent craziness of parenting a busy teen while trying to do it all—something to which I can totally relate. Green Tuna is a music teacher who shows up every day at the same school Teen Tuna attends. Seems Teen Tuna is also talented in the creative arts.
Green Tuna is also a very able story teller. When I ran across this blog, I immediately got drawn into the very captivating 45 X 365 series she began in November 2007. I’m just guessing, mind you, that she is 45 years old this year for all 365 days of the year. Ah, those were the days! But, maybe that’s a false assumption. Nonetheless, it’s a great series.
This series highlights, in revealing, concise portraits, people from her life both past and present. She tells a great story in 100 words or less! I’d tease you with part of one, but the 45 X 365 features are so short, I’d have to share all of one…just go, you’ll enjoy!
Today’s selection for The Rising Blogger Post of the Day is 45 X 365 #28: Marilyn K.
