Rhonda’s Blog

by JHSEsq

There’s a lot to be said about honesty. Today’s author is Rhonda Mitchell and she is candid and has a good handle on herself as a person, a mother and as a friend. The blog is simply called Rhonda’s Blog. The post we chose was a little bit about her day and dinner with family. Its title is Junk Food Bliss and Other Things. Here’s why we really loved this post. Rhonda admits, “I was feeling pretty good about my “Momness” and my abilities to speak the truth in love at the dinner table last night. Even if it was short lived. Jared mentioned a small quibble he and one of his girl-friends were in. I began with, “you know it’s not always about you. Sometimes, well most times in relationships we have to apologize or forgive. Neither are easy but always necessary. It’s worth it when you see how something as small as that can go a long way”. I also said something about swallowing ones pride…I heard a very quiet whisper of a voice inside my head say, why don’t you practice what you preach?!” Rhonda’s post is from October 22, 2007. The Rising Blogger congratulates her. She has written our Post of the Day!
