Today’s author, Ash Chatfield describes herself as “Unapologetic Feminist, Baby-wearing, Co-sleeping, Breastfeeding, Subversive, Married mom of 2, Neurotic, Pro-choice, Incendiary product of the ME generation type of Bitch. A whiny bitch, at that. I also have too many cats.” Her blog is Ash in Wonderland. She can rant with the best of them. You may have noticed that we tend to like a great rant. However, the post that struck us was about her job. It is from October 12, 2007 and is titled Something Else. And, being offered a new one. She ponders her future, “I have been thinking about leaving this job for awhile. Not because I hate it, I don’t. But because it’s lonely here. I’m the only one left. Everyone else has high tailed it back to the corporate office in Kansas. Let’s face it, A three month old isn’t the greatest stimulation. The only people I see all day long are the baby and the Friday fed-ex lady who drops my paycheck. that’s it. from the hours of 8–5 I don’t see another human. Which was convenient when I was pregnant and prone to napping under my desk like a drunk, but now? Not so much.
