It’s the Little Things

Today’s author appreciates her privacy. She won’t even tell us her name. We know two things. She is an attractive woman (this picture cannot lie) and she is a gifted writer. We were not surprised to read that she writes for a living. Now one might wonder why would she want to a write a blog for us, for free, when professionally she gets paid for it? All we can do is guess. Our guess it is all about freedom. The blog is It’s the Little Things. And the post we are awarding is about freedom as well. Freedom the author experiences with her writting because she is free from an editor or publisher (or worse advertising people) for her blog with no name so as to be hassle-free with from strangers. The post is from October 24, 2007 and is titled Free Speech, Slander, Libel and Just Plain Go Fuck Yourself. It expresses what freedom of speech is and also what it isn’t, and addresses some plain “dumb shit” that she has been accused of by readers. She writes, “First of all, let me kindly point out that we shouldn’t miss the importance of the freedom of speech being guaranteed by our government over two hundred years ago, and that it is included in the very first Amendment. That’s important, is it not?

Along with our government given right to worship who we wish, in whichever way we wish, we, as Americans, along with our press, are guaranteed freedom of speech. But what does this mean, exactly? Can we say anything we want? About anybody we want? Does it have to be true? What if it isn’t true?Well, we do have some censorship, you must know…”
