Single Parents Unite

Lori is a sin­gle par­ent who pens the blog Sin­gle Par­ents Unite. It is a refresh­ing blog because while she nav­i­gates the ter­rain of hav­ing two sons, she is not always sure she has the answers. Her posts are a com­bi­na­tion of stat­ing prob­lems or sit­u­a­tions that are going on in her life and asks read­ers for input and giv­ing out her own advice. She pon­ders: When do you have that sex talk? Or, when do they wash their own clothes? In other posts she shares some insight and expe­ri­ences of her own. Today’s Post of the Day is titled Do You Won­der If Your Teen is on Drugs? and she has some answers to her ques­tion. She shares a bit of her world, “My old­est son put me thru an ordeal for about 2 years that slapped me in the face, bring­ing me to a real­ity I wasn’t ready for. This was a child that got straight A’s in school, never talked back, and did what he was told. Then, out of the blue, my son changed. I had no idea that I was about to begin a roller coaster ride that would take me thru depres­sion, anx­i­ety, sleep­less­ness, end­less wor­ry­ing, and the worst heartache I would ever expe­ri­ence in my life. We both sur­vived…”. She then share her ideas. It is a very well writ­ten post and blog. The Ris­ing Blog­ger is happy to announce Lori has writ­ten today’s win­ning post!

Wow…thank you very much for rec­og­niz­ing my blog. Its great to know that peo­ple read what I write, even if they have to take me with a grain of salt some­times. Sin­gle or not, rais­ing kids is a chal­lenge. You made my day:)
