Today’s nominated post at first was a bit hard to follow because it obviously was a continuation of a debate from previous posts. Fortunately, we took the time so that The Rising Blogger can catch our readers up. Coaster Punchman is the author of Coaster Punchman’s World who happens to be gay. And the debate appears to be between our author and a regular reader of that blog over concerns over gay marriage and the prejudices that some straight folk have with the gay community, in general. And while it was a bit unfair (…the author sets up her opponent’s points and then reponds so to get the last word in on whatever the issue…) the points that are made are interesting and provocative. The post is from October 14, 2007 and titled Marriage Mayhem Redux — Return of Sushi. Here’s a sample:
on’t want Homosexual person to eat in a separate restaurant. Ride in a different bus , or forced to ride in a different part of the bus. But I do not think that Equal means identical. Man marrying a woman is not identical to a man marrying a man. Or a woman marrying a woman. No, they are not identical — but what is? Consider that these EXACT arguments were made back in 1967 before the Supreme Court finally decided it was unlawful to forbid civil marriage between blacks and whites. And please, stop calling us “homosexuals.” That’s such a clinical term — appropriate for a biology lab where you are studying the behavior of mice, but not so much in talking about your friends. “Gays and Lesbians” is fine, thanks.”
Congratulations Coaster Punchman, you have written our Post of the Day!

Wow, I am honored and flattered to have won this award. I come across many, many posts by my fellow bloggers that deserve such notice and will be sure to nominate them.
Thanks,
Coaster Punchman (aka CP)
Congratulations, CP.
It could have been any post on Coaster Punchman’s blog and it would have been worthwhile.
