Picking Up Pieces

by JHSEsq on September 27, 2007

Josie Two Shoe’s daughter asked her some questions about her childhood. She wanted more information about her folk’s divorce and such. The post from September 13, 2007 is titled Sorting Thru Boxes, which is our author’s euphemism for sifting through her memories. Here is what Josie has to say, “As I’ve noted before, much of my past has been neatly packed in boxes and stored in my mental attic. I don’t take the memories out and “play with them” often… it’s just better not to. Every once in awhile I do pull down a box or two and sort thru them to find what now appears to be meaningless rubbish and can be discarded. If I allow the attic to get to jumbled, it begins to cause havoc in my emotional state and present life.” The blog is called Picking Up Pieces. It is very well written and immediately draws the reader in the story. The Rising Blogger knows you will enjoy this author and her Post of the Day!

I am both humbled and honored to be included with bloggers who have written such amazing posts. As my regular readers know, I write straight from the heart, even when the subjects are painful, such as this one was. If others can relate to my story, maybe it will help us all a bit in the healing of our lives. Thank you for recognizing my efforts in this manner!
