Mimi Writes

by JHSEsq

Mimi Lenox simply calls her blog Mimi Writes. But Mimi does much more than that. She is one of the most popular bloggers on the internet. Sure, she is a great writer, but we are sure she is an even better person. When she is not sharing her candid takes on life in her Bloggingham Palace, she is writing humor in her Dating Profile of the Day blog. You could also find her with her biggest passion as founder of the Blogblast for Peace movement. The Rising Blogger has a Peace Globe of Mimi’s in our sidebar. The post The Rising Blogger picked to award is titled Supper With Daddy. Mimi does not get a lot of alone face time with her ailing father. She did recently and the words seemed to flow out and help Mimi share with the her readers her inner emotions, “The hugs I missed growing up are now painfully and achingly bittersweet when I visit — because I know his time is short — and so does he. Of course, we’ve been saying that for several years now, and each time he lives to prove us wrong; this time, however, there is something different about his resolve. His gait is steady. His eyes hold a let’s-cut-to-the-chase-and-not-waste-time look, and these days, his hand grabs mine haphazardly at times and holds on, each finger curled around my own, spelling all the I love you’s I never heard. Fifty years of silence has melted with the covering of that strong smoldering father shadow, and suddenly, the bruises –mine and his — matter not. My father’s wrinkled and well-worn mantle has risen at the eleventh hour.” We are honored to award Mimi our Post of the Day! Mimi, continue to write with grace and wit. You are one talented lady.

I woke up this morning to find this lovely award in my mailbox. Thank you, Judd.

How kind of you to mention BlogBlast for Peace and my other blogs as well. I will post the badge with pride. Good luck with your site. I have been a faithful reader for some time.
It is a great source of interesting blogs and you award them beautifully.

I am honored.

Mimi is an excellent choice. Very well done. Her post about her father was indeed very well written and moving. :)

You could not have chosen better than Mimi to receive this award and particularly with that most touching post. Thank you recognizing such an outstanding and warm woman whom I am proud to call ‘friend’.

Mimi’s blog is fabulous and this particular post was one of the most touching I’ve read anywhere. Great choice for the award.
