Deana Heath Clark is the author of a blog named Friday Night Fish Fry. It is a light, refreshing breezy read. She writes of the anguish of losing her cat Dale in her post of August 28, 2007, “Sunday morning and still no Dale we were very sad. Toonces kept saying that it had something to do with him taking her to the creek he just knew it. He and the Thugs went back down to the creek to double check one more time. As the Labs ran up the field to roll and wrestle T thought he heard a faint cat cry from the other side of the tiny branch by the creek. As he went towards it he got no answer to yelling “Dale” but could hear the faint cry when he called “kitty, kitty, kitty.” Finally after quieting the dogs down they found her. She had gotten off the road at a point that is mowed by deer hunters. She hated the high meadow to get to the creek so she had tried going through the woods and low grass to the creek right on our land. Toonces found her all tangled up in vines and weeds and thistle under some bushes. If she hadn’t cried out he would have never seen her in all that vegetation. And she only knew “kitty, kitty” “Dale” meant nothing to her.” The Rising Blogger is pleased to award Deena our award for Post of the Day!Review written by BUD WEISER.
