Cat on My Head: Purrs from Jaya

by JHSEsq on August 12, 2007

Reflections on where we come from, ancestrally speaking, tell us a lot about who we are as people. Jaya is the author of a cat person’s blog named Purrs from Jaya. She may have written one of the shortest posts that has been nominated to The Rising Blogger. We think that this is part of what its appeal is to us, and that her writing and message ring true as she talks of previous generations. The post from August 10, 2007 is titled Grandma Julia in 1915. We think you’ll enjoy it. We all have experienced that relative whom we only know by a picture, and yet with some of those images over time we can actually feel a connection. Even to a photo or painting. Go figure! Congratulations, Jaya, you have penned our Post of the Day!

Well THANKS so much!

I’m honored to be
awarded ‘Post of the
Day’. And, no doubt,
if my Grandma Julia
were alive, and if
she had any concept
of what the internet
is and what blogging
is, she also would be
very pleased.

My CAT Gamma, who
IS alive, and is lying
next to me as I write
this, says she is happy
I got the ‘Post of the
Day’ award, although
she is confused over
why the post about my
grandmother was chosen
over the post about her
channeling Elvis… I
will try the explain it
all to her later.

Thanks again!

Jaya

Cat On My Head)
