TOTALLYUN-PC

TOTALLYUN-PC is the name of both the blog and the author of a fascinating blog written by a police officer in the United Kingdom. It is not a blog for the faint of heart. Neither the blog nor posts by themselves are graphic or violent. You feel as a reader right in the middle of the action, because his stories are so interesting (and at times downright frightening) that the reader acquires just a hint, or perhaps a slight impression of what a career in law enforcement might be about. It helps that the author is a fantastic writer. Here’s a taste from his post of July 28, 2007, “It’s a hot day. It’s about to get hotter. Fire does that. It makes you hot. It makes your skin prickle. It gives you goose bumps at the same time. I feel the heat, but the spray from the jet of water cools me before the heat can warm me again. I imagine steam rising off my face and arms.” The post is titled Tonight I’m Gonna Party Like It’s 1999. The Rising Blogger is proud to honor this post as our Post of the Day!

Thank you akelamalu, thank you granny for the recommendation and thankyou RB for your words.

First I’d like to thank my agent, for whom all this is…… JOKE…. JOKE……JOKE!

Just always wanted to say that! LOL

I’m flattered. honestly I am. The blogging thing has turned out to be a nice release. These things don’t happen all the time, in fact, most of the time like all officers will tell you, the job is boring for most of the time.
I’d also question whether its brave, just because something happens and you HAVE NO CHOICE but to deal with it!
All police officers are represented in the things I say. I have rarely been alone when I have been in these scenarios, and most officers will tell you of an event similar to the ones I speak of…. But I’ve never been good at being counselled, so this is where I speak of the past, and sometimes the future.
I’ve got 8 more posts then its my 100th… for the 100th post, its going to be my top 10 greatest Hits… ha ha…. so you might want to read that one, as all the best ones will be in one place and you won’t have to search through the rants and groans! (I’d put the 1999 post at about number 7)

now I have to recommend someone….. well someone i love to read, for the sheer imagary of her writing is Alice the Architect. I never knew buildings could be so cool, and her writing skills have grown and grown. I check in on her site everyday just to make sure I haven’t missed one!

She’s at http://alicethearchitect.blogspot.com/
