Red Hog Diary

by JHSEsq

We received a nomination for us to nominate a fellow named Chris who rides a Harley and is a political junkie. And the blogosphere is better off for it. Red Hog Diary is the blog and Chris’ most recent post is about why people read blogs and his impressions of seeing Obama. That said we picked a blog from his list of favorites to honor. It’s from March 1, 2007 called Thank You for Being a Friend and it is apolitical. What it is a warm and charming sould bearing post on the ways friends change through the years. “As a kid growing up it seemed there would never be a friend who could be better than the one you had at the time. I don’t know if it was the nature of the neighborhood that I grew up in or if my youth was similar to that of most kids growing up. It seemed every couple of years or so that best friend, whom I was able to share and receive any and all heartfelt thoughts; would move away. There was Brian pre kindergarten, Joey in lower primary, then Randy until Junior High, then Lori, then Tom.” The Rising Blogger awards Chris our Post of the Day award!

Hey Thanks Judd. Ya know, I prefer to write the posts such as you selected for “Post of the Day” and I appreciate your recognition. The politics are not what I originally set out to do with the Red Hog Diary but there is so much stuff going on in the world that seems to beg for comment that I can’t seem to help myself. Your site is refreshing and positive and that is unique compared to most of the blog recognition I have received in the past. Keep up the good work and message here.

I think you hit blog reading on the head Hogster – The media is just a story waiting to eat itself. My latest blog is about just that. A press reporter gets goosed, and they make a story out of them not wanting it to be a story…. you can’t make that kind of shit up!
