Up the Workers

by JHSEsq

Grans.Myth.Peeler is the name our blog author calls himself. The nominated post is from July 5, 2007. The blog is Up the Workers and has some rather strong political views. However, the post that we selected was a story of our author as a child dealing with family issues that he is really too young to understand. This naivety is part of what makes his post, You Little Swine,
hysterically funny. His Aunty Mavis has an ugly wart on her nose that terrorizes little Grans, “Come & give your Aunty Mavis a kiss” said mum in a room packed full of hairy relatives. ‘Just get it over with’ I think to myself. ‘Don’t look at the wart. Don’t look at the wart’. ‘He’s gone cross eyed, the daft bugger’ yelled Aunty really big massive humungous wart on the end of her nose Mavis.” This is just a very funny post. The Rising Blogger is pleased to award it our Post of the Day.

Thank you for awarding me Post of the Day. I accept this award not just for me but on behalf of all my other circus clown brothers that died during the great custard pie fight of 1983, especially little Cheeko who swallowed his own red nose in the confusion. It blocked his windpipe & he choked, making a strange high pitched sound as he struggled for air. In fact some people say he “whistled himself to death”.

Thank you & please come visit my world of strangely amusing tales. Are they true or just completely made up? I don’t know. No body will tell me!

Once again thank you for the award,

Granny.
