No Coercion

by JHSEsq

There is nothing pretty or flashy about today’s winning blog and its post. In fairness, it is a new site called No Coercion. It is a political site with a strong libertarian slant. But whatever your politics, this author will make you think. As an example, he was against the recent immigration bill because of the way the bill centralized power in the federal government; as opposed to being anti-immigration. In fact, in an old fashioned-American-spirit way, he is pro-immigration. He explains, “welfare handouts attracting a higher amount of immigration than the market would naturally demand: this, of course, is not an immigration problem–it’s an overall socialist scheme that increases poverty and dependence, distorts all kinds of markets (including the labor market), and should be done away with.” The words are from his post titled Immigration is the Sincerest Form of Flattery. The Rising Blogger is pleased to give it our Post of the Day award. Keep thinking, and keep us on our toes!

Thanks, Judd! This is a real honor! As I’m a blogging newbie, my site definitely isn’t flashy yet–but I’m slowly figuring things out! I certainly appreciate being designated a rising blogger.
