Joy In Chaos

Today The Ris­ing Blog­ger salutes a truly gifted writer. The email that we received advo­cat­ing her post’s nom­i­na­tion stated, “I had some trou­ble select­ing a post from her blog. Her writ­ing is in the league of some of the heavy blog hit­ters out there.” We whole-heartedly agree. Joy is our author and besides hav­ing the gift of the writ­ten word she also tells us of real life trau­mas, tri­umphs and chal­lenges. We don’t think “defeat” is a word in her vocab­u­lary. Her blog is called appro­pri­ately enough Joy in Chaos. She describes her­self as “I am blessed to have been mar­ried for 11 years to an amaz­ing, kind and funny man who, for some incom­pre­hen­si­ble rea­son, is crazy-in-love with me too. We have four beau­ti­ful and exhaust­ing chil­dren. I am an emo­tional, chatty, girly, highly-disorganized, work in progress. I strive each day to meet the needs of my fam­ily…” Her post from June 24, 2007 is called My Beau­ti­ful Girl and is a mov­ing piece con­cern­ing a child’s worry, “Am I pretty enough? Am I cool enough”. As our Post of the Day, we sim­ply applaud a post well done!
