Psychosomatic Rants

by JHSEsq

In “Chaos and Love Are Taking Over the World” writer Mylie T espouses that marriage is “just a piece of paper” and swears off pink — just for political spite. Mylie partners with Jason Bayless to write the insightful blog called Pyschosomatic Rants and in this post dated June 6, 2007 she explores her own flip-flop mindset on the subject of marriage for tradition’s sake. “I am not sure when the change happened, but somewhere and somehow I had shifted my dreams of being princess Leia in a white flowing gown to being a college girl , holding her own and running–screaming–from eternal commitment.”

But things indeed change for Mylie in this intelligent discussion on activisim and societal expectations. “I realized how much my politically correctness had de-romanticized by existence,” she writes and came to believe in something far bigger and more important in the grand scheme of things. We find her conclusion not only romantic but downright philosophically correct. Read her thoughtful narrative. It is today’s Post of the Day winner here at The Rising Blogger; and please, take Mylie’s advice: “Whatever you decide to do with your life, I implore you to be passionate and to know why you do what you do.”

Spoken like a true activist, we’d say. We like your brand of chaos.
