Life With Heathens

by JHSEsq

Jo is a 32 year-old mother of three children that she mischievously calls “the heathens”. That is why her blog is titled Life with Heathens. Jo is not just your average mom and wife because she lives every day with cancer. Her spirit and courage is contagious. Jo happens to have a very large noticeable scar on her neck from previous cancer surgery. Her post is titled More Than a Scar. She published originally over a year ago but republished it on the Fourth of July.
Jo explains it is for her newer readers to get to understand her a bit better. Being a new reader, The Rising Blogger appreciated the opportunity. Jo writes of the scar and people staring, “Since then I have had the misfortune of being initiated into the world of rude staring. You see, people seem to think it’s OK to stare, avoid eye contact, and then dash away. It’s not really the staring that gets me but the refusal afterwards to look me in the eye.” We are very impressed with Jo as a writer. Congratulations Jo, you’ve written our Post of the Day!

Wow thank you very much for choosing my post. I am truly honored and glad that you liked it as the post truly means alot to me. I also enjoy the fact that you truly understand what “Life With Heathens” is all about and your synopsis of the blog and me are both very good.

Thank you very much and I will start looking for another blogger to nominate today!
