Skindiving

Chesca throws up when she’s ner­vous. It hap­pened on this day in 1994 when she took a risk and pred­i­cat­ably made her­self sick, not unlike her adven­tur­ous nature on any given day. Emo­tion­ally induced sea­sick­ness aside, her delight­ful blog is called Skin­diver. She calls her­self “exskin­diver” for obvi­ous rea­sons and likens her ran­dom blog­gi­ness to the buoy­ant free­dom she once found float­ing 50 feet below the sur­face. Life, to her, is a lot like“equal­iz­ing” under­wa­ter. She writes, “The deeper you go, the more you must equal­ize .”
“A Ran­dom Story” writ­ten June 19, 2007 is truly a breath of fresh air in the blo­gos­phere. Tak­ing a deep breath and with her husband’s com­i­cal sup­port, Chesca walked on an audi­tion stage and the rest is — as they say — his­tory. She writes,“I had always wanted to be on stage.I never audi­tioned because I feared that some­one I knew would scoff at my temer­ity.” She is today’s Post of the Day win­ner on The Ris­ing Blog­ger.
