Mental Tesserae

by JHSEsq

Imagine taking a tour of a museum as a child. Now imagine doing it as a blind child. Mental Tesserae falls into the general category of blogs that are about family. The author, Julie Q, does a lot more than tell of family. She can be very personal, interesting and touching. The post from May 4, 2007 At the Feet of a Giant, shares some of Julie Q’s experience as a nine year old and touring Europe with her family for a month. One museum guard’s act of kindness that has remained with Julie all these years is poignant, and that she shares the tale with us is very special. Julie Q, The Rising Blogger is very pleased to honor that story with our Post of the Day Award.
