Edvard Moonke

by Mimi Lenox on May 2, 2007

Ever tried to quit smoking? Or lived with someone who has?

Today’s winner knows whereof the nicotine speaks. Not-so-subtly prompted by someone who cares about him to cease the habit that he thinks is fueling his creativity, he writes: “The left side of my brain races to all exit points, frantically searching for adequate excuses to keep feeding my addiction, while the right side knows I have no concrete argument against it. Nothing that would stand up in court, anyway.”

Finding himself explaining the definition of blog to the judge, nicotine-deprived Edvard is just not fit for human companionship. Brazilian born Moonke, who now resides in Britain, is known for his penchant for omitting commas (to which we say “Bravo!”) and pithy renderings via la blog.

We bestow upon The Smoking Creature From the Black Lagoon, published March 1, 2007, the Post of the Day Award. Judging from the picture above, we say, “Somebody give the man a cigarette!”
