We appre­ci­ate humor and wit. Today’s award win­ner demon­strates both in Road Tested in New Eng­land: or “You Can’t Get They-ah from He-ah.”

Gale Mar­tin at Gem-osophy takes us on her life-threatening trip to spend Easter in New Eng­land with her daugh­ter. All right … it wasn’t really life-threatening, but to Gale and her hus­band it must have felt like it. In fact, we are glad that there wasn’t a divorce fol­low­ing this road trip.

Gale has the abil­ity place us right there in the car next to her as she writes. Or, in this case, in the rear seat of her car. She is an excep­tional writer.
